Breaking Bad is possibly the best television series I’ve ever seen so I fully recommend it. Breaking Bad is an American series which stars Bryan Cranston who plays Walter White and Aaron Paul who plays Jesse Pinkman. Walter White is a Chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with a terminal illness so he decides to launch a drug career with the help of Jesse Pinkman an ex student of Walters in the hope to earn enough money to provide for his family when he’s gone. The show has some fantastic twists and turns and introduces you to some of the best television villains. Breaking Bad is a must watch, yeah science bitch.
Orange Is the New Black is a Netflix original series and is based on a true story. The series stars Piper Chapman who is sentenced to 15 months in prison for carrying drug money for an ex-girlfriend, Alex Vause. Piper’s arrival to prison does not go smoothly and she ends up upsetting a couple of inmates on her first day. The series introduces you to some hilarious characters *cough* crazy eyes and shows you some heart-warming flash backs. Orange Is the New Black is hilariously brilliant and season one leaves you wanting more.
Girls written by and starring Lena Dunham is an American comedy/drama which is based on twenty something girls struggling to keep their lives on track in New York City. The show contains some romance and disasters along the way and manages to keep you entertained through-out and has been recently renewed for a fourth season.
Game of Thrones is a gritty drama which stars some brilliant characters. I must warn you though you’ll probably want to throw something at your television when certain characters come on *cough* Joffrey. The series is not afraid to kill of any character no matter how popular they are with viewers which constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another warning you’ll probably fall in love with a couple of characters *cough* Tyrion Lannister. This show is just epic and is definitely worth a watch.
From the comic book series, The Walking Dead is a thriller/action that follows a group of zombie apocalypse survivors Rick Grimes, Andrea, Daryl Dixon etc. The series takes you on an emotional and shocking journey and leaves you questioning who you can trust. The Walking Dead almost makes you want a zombie apocalypse to happen just so you can see if you can survive it Daryl Dixon style. Prepare for a lot of gross and eye watering scenes. The Walking Dead series will without a doubt keep you entertained.
American Horror Story is a horror series created by Ryan Murphy but do not worry they do not break into song randomly like on Glee…. actually season two does have a special performance of the Name Game starring Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson which I have been singing ever since. Each season has a different narrative the first is Murder House second, Asylum and third, Coven however the cast pretty much stay the same so not to panic you still get your fix of Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe. Each season has a reveal which will leave you screaming at the television especially season two so prepare yourself and grab a box of popcorn!
A Netflix original House of Cards is ruthless and dark in every way. It is dramatic and manipulative in all the right ways; it’s so good even Obama’s tweeted about. Once you start episode one you’ll likely finish the season in a day (it’s really addictive). House of Cards is a really smart drama and introduces you to some characters that you’ll love to hate. PS Kevin Spacey is amazing in it ALSO season two gets even better. (So hold onto your hat)
