Obama: ‘Future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam’

That unnamed zealot? President Obama.

So guess which world leader said, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" at the UN this morning.

— Rob Sterling (@Mr_Sterling) September 25, 2012

That’s right.

RT @radleybalko Pls tell me he didn't say this RT @tobyharnden Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam"

— Grey Ghost (@new_iconoclast) September 25, 2012

Yes, he said it. He said, “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” during his speech to the United Nations today.

Read President Obama's speech before the United Nations General Assembly, as prepared http://t.co/PO42JgfN

— The New York Times (@nytimes) September 25, 2012

From the text of the speech via The New York Times:

The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: “Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.” Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support.

Eh, to be credible or something we have to kinda sorta say stuff about the desecration of Jesus. But, you know. Whatever. The prophet!!!111

The future must not belong to those who insult the prophet of Islam, unless they give at least $1 million to an Obama Super PAC.

— John Hayward (@Doc_0) September 25, 2012

And Twitter users are rightly outraged.

Our appeasement-oriented president compares crucifixion of Coptic Christians with "slandering the prophet of Islam." Absurd.

— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) September 25, 2012

Cripe almighty. RT @ExJon What in the HELL?! RT @tobyharnden: Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

— Teri Christoph (@TeriChristoph) September 25, 2012

So very wrong. RT @ExJon: What in the HELL?! RT @tobyharnden: Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

— Thatsalrighty (@Thatsalrighty) September 25, 2012

There's your Drudge headline RT @ArifCRafiq: President Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

— Blake Hounshell (@blakehounshell) September 25, 2012

But by all means, call us "infidels" RT @tobyharnden: Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam."

— Kemberlee Kaye (@KemberleeKaye) September 25, 2012

.@GaltsGirl: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" …Here come the hate (lib defined) speech laws…

— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) September 25, 2012

Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." – but it should belong to a party who booed God & Jerusalem??

— O (@OriKeinan) September 25, 2012

Protect #freespeech. Vote Romney. RT @jimgeraghty: Obama 2012: Because the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.

— Eye on Politics (@EyeOnPolitics) September 25, 2012

Unreal. The apologitis and dangerous policies of appeasement have reached epic levels. And in an incredibly dangerous and horrific way. The attempted quashing of free speech by President Obama continues and shows no signs of stopping. We cannot have a President of the United States who runs roughshod over our freedom, all in a pitiful attempt to appease those who wish to kill us and excuse their barbaric acts.

Further, yesterday during a taping of “The View,” President Obama admitted that the murders of four Americans in Libya was not just a mob action. Yet, he was unable to actually call it a terrorist attack.

Man-Caused Disaster: Obama reportedly admits Libya attack premeditated; refuses to say ‘terrorism’ http://t.co/BqDj4PQ6

— JWF (@JammieWF) September 25, 2012

That continued during his dangerously incompetent speech to the United Nations today.

Obama:[on anti-#Muslim video]"U.S. had nothing to do with that video. We understand how people are offended because we have #Muslims here."

— Africa Renewal, UN (@africarenewal) September 25, 2012

No, offensive is the President of the United States condemning the First Amendment and the free exercise thereof. How dare you?

Terrorist attack? Just a bump in the road.

Obama at UN: O said anti-Islam video was disgusting &disgraceful, but O didn't apply those words to murderers of Stevens! #BumpInTheRoad

— Donna Cahill (@DTCahill) September 25, 2012

It’s all about the video! Again.

I heard the word "video" from Obama more than I heard the word "terrorist."

— Jedediah Bila (@JedediahBila) September 25, 2012

Didn't say "terrorist" in reference to Libya. RT @JedediahBila: I heard the word "video" from Obama more than I heard the word "terrorist."

— KRenner (@KRenner2) September 25, 2012

He is Dazed an Confused RT @rorycooper: A major terrorist attack on 9/11 and President Obama is still talking about the video. Wow.

— Mike Berlinger (@kermike) September 25, 2012

MT @pleicestation: Obama's TelePrompTer autocorrects "terrorism" to "bump in the road"…

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) September 25, 2012

Every time the president mentions that YouTube video he legitimizes the causal connection between it and the murder of four Americans. STOP.

— Daniel Foster (@DanFosterType) September 25, 2012

Obama team admitting to Americans the embassy attack was planned while Obama tells the world it was because of a video. Hello #LapdogMedia

— el Sooper (@SooperMexican) September 25, 2012

Obama just spoke to the UN. He sounded like a visiting dignitary from a Muslim country. He blamed terrorist violence on a no budget video.

— Sandra Rose (@SandraRose) September 25, 2012

The Obama finally acknowledged the embassy attack was a terrorist act of war, yet today is back to blaming a two-bit video. #tcot

— prima facie (@primafacie) September 25, 2012

He is STILL blabbing about the video. #UNGA

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) September 25, 2012

260 words in to Obama speech at UN no mention of terrorism in Libya. @BuzzFeedAndrew @shannonpoe

— Bill (@DefendWallSt) September 25, 2012

Obama at UN – has he used the word "terrorism" yet? No. But he did mention an obscure little youtube video.

— dmmcglynn (@dmmcglynn) September 25, 2012

https://twitter.com/Pseudogourmet/status/250620115605913602

So Obama gives speech that the video didn’t cause the violence in the context that he thinks it did. Nothing about terrorism. “Extremism.”

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) September 25, 2012

For shame, Obama. Shame on you.

He's delusional. RT @JedediahBila: I heard the word "video" from Obama more than I heard the word "terrorist."

— Timothy Connolly CFA (@SconsetCapital) September 25, 2012

Delusional and frightening. Remember this in November.

Obama 2012: Because the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.

— jimgeraghty (@jimgeraghty) September 25, 2012

Update: Remember this?

Remember when Obama told The View yesterday that everyone should IGNORE THE VIDEO?==> http://t.co/P6mL2m4X via @JammieWF

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) September 25, 2012

At the UN Obama blames the video. On "The View" Obama said The Best Response to Inflammatory YouTube Video is to Ignore It. #RomneyRyan2012

— Craig Lambert (@lambert_craig) September 25, 2012

Yet he mentioned it a half a dozen times during his UN address.
