Just who do they think they are? Those sweet, sultry, insensitive pumpkin treats. You might think the time you shared together last October was special, but don’t flatter yourself. It’s a one-sided feeling. The minute the weather got a little colder, they were gone. No email, no phone call — nothing.
Did the laughs, the inside jokes, mean nothing? I mean, sure, you should always be cautious about someone you meet at a Starbucks, but c’mon — everything felt so right. What’s the deal? But never mind. That was a long time ago. You’ve moved on, you tell yourself. You’re stronger now. And then, right when you’re about to bury the hatchet, to kick the memory for good, autumn rolls around again and they show up all tall, orange and handsome at your front door — as if nothing happened!
Pumpkin flavored holiday drinks can be such a tease.
Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula, co-creative directors of New York live comedy group Blogologues, performed that oh-so-familiar heartbreak in a new video.
The Blogologues regularly perform “the Internet verbatim,” combining trending blogs with live theater and videos. More of their material is up on their Tumblr page.
Check out the video above. Are there any Internet blog posts you’d like to see performed live? Act out your thoughts in the comments.
