A stunning image of Saturn’s rings

Saturn’s rings are barely visible here, but they cast a beautiful banded shadow on the planet in this 2006 photo from the Cassini probe. What appears as a small dot along the rings is Enceladus, the moon where scientists believe an ocean of water below the surface might be throwing plumes of steam into space.
