Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen and her management previously told Mashable they’re crazy in “love” with the countless “Call Me Maybe” parodies, but on Saturday during a Facebook Live chat, she will reveal her overall reaction to the song’s covers, parodies and remixes.
The chat begins at 1 p.m. ET — when she will also discuss her new album Kiss — and Facebook users will be allowed to ask questions from the chat’s main hub.
“Call Me Maybe” was released on Sept. 20, 2011, and then something “so absolutely shocking” happened, as Jepsen‘s manager Jonathan Simkin told Mashable: Social powerhouse Justin Bieber tweeted about it in December and followed that with an appearance in a viral lip-dub video in January. “It’s hard to beat that,” Simkin said.
By June, “Call Me Maybe” finally hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, remaining on top for nine weeks.
