Ebola Stuffed Toys Are Somehow A Huge Hit And Have Sold Out Online (Photo)

As if Ebola hasn’t been the topic of every conversation and newscast as of late, one company found another way to shove the disease in everyone’s face — literally.

Giant Microbes, which specializes in manufacturing educational toys, created a large stuffed-animal version of the Ebola virus.

The description on the toy reads,

Since its discovery in 1976, Ebola has become the T. Rex of microbes. Share the love!

Share the love, indeed. Much like the contagious virus, the $10 toy’s presence has spread like a disease, and it’s now completely sold out online.

Related products, including the $30 giant Ebola stuffed toy and the $15 stuffed Ebola petri dish, are also sold out.

Germaphobes (or the germ-obsessed) can still find loads of other disease-inspired toys on the site, though, including anthrax, cancer and syphilis plushies.

Are teddy bears really that passé?
